The Noid is on a diet.For some time, I have been fascinated with the turnaround of Domino's Pizza (DPZ). In 2008, their stock was trading at under $3 per share, and today it is over $450. Starting with a rebranding effort where Domino's admitted their product was unappealing, and bolstered by their forward-thinking use of technology, the firm is now the global leader in Pizza. However, its leadership will need to remain cognizant of market trends to maintain their trajectory. A significant environmental factor for this industry is sociocultural. For example, as customers' income grows, their interest in a higher-end dining experience may supplant DPZ. Furthermore, the growth GLP-1 medications will certainly impact their customer's motivation to order a pizza. Perhaps this will lead to an increase of healthy menu options for diet conscious customers.
